We notice things

Blue-gray Audi RS4 parked in a lot, seen from the front corner with the hood and headlight in view

KimmSpeed started with a simple problem: we kept noticing things.

A strange detail. An engine nobody talks about anymore. A car parked two rows over that sends us home with questions.

One question becomes five. Five becomes an old brochure, a phone call, a VIN, a road trip, or somebody saying, “Damn. I remember that car.”

We’re interested in the machinery, obviously. But also the people who built it, bought it, broke it, fixed it, raced it, kept it, and occasionally refused to sell it when common sense suggested otherwise.

So we follow the interesting stuff. Mechanical curiosities. Forgotten histories. Beautiful engineering. Peculiar collections. Roads worth taking the long way for.

Sometimes we find an answer. Sometimes we find a better question.

Either way, pull up a chair.
We noticed something.

We usually notice

Yellow sticky note in Jim’s handwriting: “Guys, just say you’re funny. It’s why I still let you come over.”

Editorial Vision

01 / DESTINATION

Destination Reporting

We follow the cars to the places that make them make sense. Garages. Back roads. Storage buildings. Strange corners of town. Sometimes the destination is the story. Sometimes it’s just where the rabbit hole starts.

02 / MECHANICAL

Curiosity & Mechanics

We like the nuts and bolts. The engineering. The odd fixes. The clever bits. The parts nobody notices until they squeak, leak, fail, or change the whole car. This is where we slow down, look closer, and ask better questions.

03 / ARTISANAL

Artisanal Stories

Cars are never just cars. They come with owners, mechanics, family history, old paperwork, bad decisions, and very good reasons to keep going. We follow the people around the machine, because that’s usually where the real story lives.
